Background: Barrel & Bean Café By Fore Distillery opened in Fore Co. Westmeath in the summer of 2021. The owners are husband and wife duo Sheena and Oliver Guirke, who are on a new distillery and café business venture! I was commissioned to create an identity, signage, and subsequent café stationery for their new business.

Aim: The aim of this live project was to create a full identity for the café that paired with the distillery brand which had already been designed for Oliver’s venture!

Solution: The solution is Barrel & Bean Café By Fore Distillery! The name and logo associate the café to the distillery. As a new and exciting attraction to the area, the identity suggests there is more to this café than others in the area! The barrel represents Oliver’s distillery which spirals to reveal the coffee bean of Sheena’s café. The combination of the Barrel & Bean encapsulates the duo on their new business prospect and their great addition the the rural locality! The timbre of the design matches the rustic and metallic interior of the building with raw materials and ingredients used to create their high quality produce. I wish the duo all the best in their new venture!
